PRAGUE (Interstat) — A pair of Champions League sides seeking their first group stage victory will meet Tuesday when SK Slavia Praha hosts Athletic Club at Sinobo Stadium.

Both teams enter the match on the heels of decisive losses to English Premier League opponents. Slavia Praha (0-1-3, 1 point) was handed a 3-0 defeat by Arsenal FC on Nov. 4. Athletic Club (1-0-3, 3 points) fell 2-0 at Newcastle United on Nov. 5.

The Spanish side’s campaign has been marked by inconsistency, sandwiching a 3-1 win over Qarabag between heavy road losses to Borussia Dortmund (4-1) and Newcastle. Slavia Praha has struggled to find the net in group play, being shut out in three of its four matches, with its only points coming from a 0-0 draw at Atalanta and a 2-2 draw with Bodo/Glimt.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the contest is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.

Following this match, Slavia Praha will travel to face Tottenham Hotspur on Dec. 9. Athletic Club’s next Champions League fixture is at home against Paris Saint-Germain on Dec. 10.
