Preview: Rodange Hosts Mamer in Luxembourg Promotion d’Honneur Clash

RODANGE, Luxembourg (Interstat) — Rodange will look to maintain its recent upper hand over rival Mamer when the sides meet in a Luxembourg Promotion d’Honneur match Tuesday.

The Week 3 fixture is set for Stade Joseph Philippart.

Rodange (2-3-5) enters with momentum from a dramatic 3-3 draw against Jeunesse d’Esch on Saturday. That followed a 2-0 victory over Yellow Boys Weiler last Friday. However, form has been inconsistent, with heavy losses to FC Déifferdeng 03 (6-0) and Jeun Canach (4-1) preceding the recent uptick.

Mamer (5-5), despite sitting on a three-game winning streak earlier in February, arrives reeling from a 1-0 home loss to Mondorf-les-Bains on Saturday. That defeat snapped a run that included victories over F91 Diddeleng, Jeunesse Junglinster and Jeunesse d’Esch.

The head-to-head history favors the hosts. In the most recent meeting on Dec. 7, Rodange secured a 2-0 away win at Mamer.
