TOULOUSE, France (Interstat) — Toulouse and Nice opened the Ligue 1 season with a 1-1 draw Sunday at Stadium de Toulouse.

Thijs Dallinga opened the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute, finishing an assist from midfielder Branco van den Boomen. Nice found a late equalizer when substitute Aaron Ramsey scored in the 78th minute, assisted by Billal Brahimi.

The match featured physical play, with Nice receiving yellow cards for Pablo Paulino Rosario in the 63rd minute and Dante Bonfim da Costa Santos two minutes later. The result continued a trend of close matches between the sides, following Toulouse’s 5-1 victory in their last meeting in January.

Both teams will continue their Ligue 1 campaigns next weekend.
