Georgetown shuts out Fordham for first home win
WASHINGTON (Interstat) — Georgetown’s defense posted a shutout and the offense did just enough in a 14-0 win over Fordham on Saturday at Cooper Field. The Hoyas scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters and their defense made the lead stand, holding the Rams off the scoreboard. Quarterback Dez Thomas II accounted for both Georgetown touchdowns, one through the air to Hassan Mahasin and another on a short pass to Conor O’Neil. Fordham quarterback Gunnar Smith threw for 208 yards but was intercepted once and sacked multiple times as the Rams fell to 1-10. Georgetown improved to 6-5.
