Washington Huskies Dominate Purdue Boilermakers in Lopsided Victory

SEATTLE (Interstat) — The Washington Huskies scored 21 points in the second quarter to pull away from the Purdue Boilermakers en route to a 49-13 victory on Saturday at Husky Stadium. Washington improved to 7-3 on the season while Purdue fell to 2-9.

Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. led the Huskies, completing 16 of 19 passes for 257 yards and two touchdowns. Adam Mohammed scored three touchdowns for Washington, and Jordan Washington added a 68-yard touchdown run. Purdue quarterback Malachi Singleton threw for one touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Boilermakers’ offense was otherwise stifled by the Washington defense. The Huskies’ win sets up a crucial Pac-12 North showdown with Oregon next week.
