Rhode Island at Elon

ELON, N.C. (Interstat) — A surging Rhode Island looks to continue its push for the postseason when it visits an Elon squad seeking to salvage its season on Saturday.

The Rams (7-2) enter Rhodes Stadium riding a three-game winning streak, including a 38-17 rout of Bryant on Oct. 25. Quarterback Devin Farrell leads a potent offense, throwing for 272 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 19 yards on the ground in that victory. He was complemented by running back Gabe Winowich, who rushed for 90 yards and two scores.

Rhode Island’s two losses this season came on the road against FBS opponent Western Michigan and in-state rival Brown.

The Phoenix (4-5) have dropped three of their last four, most recently a 35-14 loss at Maine. In that game, quarterback Landen Clark accounted for Elon’s lone offensive touchdown, rushing for 42 yards and throwing for 128. The team has struggled against conference opponents, with its last win coming against Towson on Oct. 4.

Despite the records, a projection from Interstat’s game simulator forecasts an upset, predicting a 36-25 victory for the home team.

Kickoff is set for Saturday at Rhodes Stadium.
