Missouri State at Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. (Interstat) — A surging Missouri State team riding a three-game winning streak visits a .500 Liberty squad coming off its most explosive performance of the season as the two programs meet for a Saturday afternoon contest at Williams Stadium.

The Bears (5-3) have found their footing after a mid-season loss, winning their last three contests, including a 28-21 home victory over Florida International last Wednesday. Quarterback Jacob Clark and running back Shomari Lawrence have powered the offense, with Lawrence rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns in the latest win.

Liberty (4-4) evened its record with a 59-30 rout of Delaware last Saturday. The Flames’ quarterback room was highly efficient in the win, led by Ethan Vasko, who passed for 221 yards and two touchdowns and added 31 yards on the ground.

Despite Missouri State’s better record and recent form, the Bears have been installed as 7.5-point underdogs by oddsmakers. The game’s over/under is set at 51.5 points. A projection from Interstat forecasts a lopsided 42-15 victory for the home-standing Flames.

The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. EST and will be a key matchup for both teams as they look to build momentum for the final stretch of the season.
