Bryant at Rhode Island
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (Interstat) — A pair of intrastate rivals heading in opposite directions will meet Saturday when the Rhode Island Rams host the Bryant Bulldogs at Meade Stadium.
The Rams (5-2) enter on a high note, coming off a dominant 58-17 road victory over Albany on Oct. 18. Quarterback Devin Farrell was nearly perfect in that win, completing 19 of 20 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns.
Bryant (2-5) looks to snap a three-game losing streak, most recently falling 29-19 to Brown on Oct. 10. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs’ offense showed flashes, with quarterback Jaden Keefner accounting for 213 total yards and a touchdown and running back Elijah Elliott rushing for 116 yards and two scores.
The Interstat game simulator projects a tightly contested affair, predicting a 35-34 victory for the home-standing Rams. Rhode Island’s potent offense, which has scored 38 or more points in three of its wins, will be tested by a Bryant team that has been competitive in most of its losses, including a narrow 26-24 defeat to Towson.
The Bulldogs will look to Elliott and their ground game to control the clock and keep the Rams’ high-flying attack off the field. Rhode Island, however, will be favored to defend its home turf and continue its push for a successful season.
