Rhode Island at Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (Interstat) — A surging Rhode Island squad visits a struggling Albany team in a Coastal Athletic Association football matchup on Saturday at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

The Rams (4-2) are riding high after a 38-27 victory over New Hampshire last week, powered by a potent rushing attack. Quarterback Devin Farrell and running backs Brendon Barrow and Antwain Littleton Jr. combined for over 200 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Conversely, the Great Danes (1-5) are looking to rebound from a 47-12 home loss to Stony Brook on Oct. 4. Albany’s offense has sputtered, with quarterbacks Colin Parachek and Aidan Semo struggling for consistency. Their lone win this season was a 13-10 victory over Cornell on Sept. 20.

Despite the stark contrast in records and recent form, a projection from Interstat forecasts an upset, simulating a 38-23 victory for Albany.

Rhode Island will look to its ground game to control the clock and avoid the letdown the simulator predicts. Albany’s defense, which allowed 47 points in its last outing, faces a significant challenge in containing the Rams’ multifaceted rushing offense.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
