SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — Harry Balke kicked a 55-yard field goal as time expired to lift Drake to a 19-16 victory over San Diego on Saturday at Torero Stadium. The Bulldogs, who scored all their points in the second and fourth quarters, improved to 2-2. The Toreros fell to 3-3. San Diego built a 13-7 halftime lead after a 73-yard touchdown pass from Yosei Takahashi to Cole Monach, but Drake’s late rally, capped by Balke’s long-distance kick, secured the road win.
