HAMPTON, Va. (Interstat) — JJ Cowan rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns as Campbell earned its first win of the season, defeating Hampton 38-21 on Saturday at Armstrong Stadium. The Fightin’ Camels broke open a close game by scoring 21 points in the third quarter. Cowan sealed the victory with a 63-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Ethan Lawrence added 80 rushing yards and a score for Campbell. Gracen Goldsmith scored two touchdowns for the Pirates. Campbell improved to 1-5, while Hampton fell to 2-4.
