Morehead State at Stetson

DELAND, Fla. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to break a pattern of inconsistency, the Morehead State Eagles and Stetson Hatters, will meet Saturday at Spec Martin Stadium with identical 2-4 records.

Morehead State is coming off a narrow 35-28 home loss to Dayton on Oct. 4. Quarterback Bryce Patterson led the Eagles in that contest, passing for 252 yards and two touchdowns while adding 22 yards on the ground. The Eagles’ two wins this season came against lower-division opponents Kentucky Christian and Allen.

Stetson enters with momentum after a 35-32 victory over Davidson last Saturday. The Hatters’ ground game was dominant, with quarterback Chris Stephenson rushing for 135 yards and two touchdowns and running back Cayden Betts adding 124 yards. Like the Eagles, Stetson’s wins have come against a non-Division I opponent (Warner) and Davidson.

Both teams have struggled against stronger competition, with each suffering several lopsided defeats. The game projects as a potential shootout; the Interstat game simulator predicts a 42-41 win for the Stetson Hatters.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
