Austin Peay at Eastern Kentucky

RICHMOND, Ky. (Interstat) — A surging Austin Peay squad will look to continue its high-scoring ways when it visits Eastern Kentucky on Saturday in a key United Athletic Conference matchup.

The Governors (4-2, 2-0 UAC) enter Roy Kidd Stadium riding a three-game winning streak, having averaged 44 points per game during that stretch. They are coming off a 44-30 victory over West Georgia last Saturday, where quarterback Chris Parson threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score.

Eastern Kentucky (2-3, 1-0), meanwhile, has been off since a 27-7 win over Nicholls State on Sept. 27. In that game, running back Brady Hensley rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown to lead the Colonels’ ground attack.

The Governors’ offense, which also features playmakers Javious Bond and Courtland Simmons, will test an Eastern Kentucky defense that has been inconsistent. The Colonels’ two wins have come at home, but they were outscored 71-19 in road losses to West Georgia and Marshall.

Despite Austin Peay’s recent form, Interstat’s game simulator projects an Eastern Kentucky victory with a final score of 42-29. The Governors’ lone conference loss this season was a 45-31 defeat at Abilene Christian.

Kickoff is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
