LEWISBURG, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams riding the momentum of close victories will meet Saturday when the Richmond Spiders visit the Bucknell Bison at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

Both teams enter the contest with identical 3-2 records. Richmond is coming off a 13-12 home win over Howard last Saturday, a game where its offense struggled through the air. Quarterbacks Ashten Snelsire and Kyle Wickersham combined for just 35 passing yards, but the Spiders found production on the ground and on special teams, with Isaiah Dawson returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

Bucknell is also fresh off a win, having defeated Saint Francis (Pa.) 30-23. The Bison offense was more balanced, with quarterback Ralph Rucker IV throwing for 168 yards and a touchdown while adding 66 rushing yards. Running back Tariq Thomas provided a spark with 95 rushing yards and a score.

The matchup features two teams with similar season trajectories, each having recorded a win against a common opponent, VMI, and a loss to Lehigh. According to a Interstat game simulator, this contest is projected to be another nail-biter, with Bucknell edging Richmond 24-23.
