Baylor at Oklahoma State
STILLWATER, Okla. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to rebound from difficult losses will meet Saturday when the Baylor Bears face the Oklahoma State Cowboys at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Baylor (2-2) enters after a 27-24 home defeat to Arizona State last Saturday. Despite the loss, quarterback Sawyer Robertson turned in a strong performance, completing 25 of 39 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Bryson Washington provided a spark on the ground, rushing for 111 yards on 17 carries.
Oklahoma State (1-2) is also coming off a setback, a 19-12 home loss to Tulsa last Friday. The Cowboys’ offense struggled, with quarterback Zane Flores throwing for 214 yards and a touchdown while also leading the team in rushing with 56 yards. The defeat followed a 69-3 road loss to Oregon on Sept. 6.
Despite their record, the Cowboys have been installed as a significant pregame favorite by oddsmakers, giving 20.5 points. The over/under is set at 58.5. A projection from Interstat simulates an Oklahoma State victory, 34-25.
The game will be the Big 12 Conference opener for both schools. Baylor’s season has been marked by offensive fireworks, including a 48-45 double-overtime win at SMU, but also defensive inconsistencies. Oklahoma State will seek to rediscover the form that produced a 27-7 season-opening win over Tennessee-Martin.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. Baylor will host Kansas State on Oct. 4, while Oklahoma State travels to Arizona the same day.
