ALBANY (Interstat) — The Albany Great Danes routed the Le Moyne Dolphins 20-3 on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Varsity Field in a one-sided afternoon contest that saw Albany erupt for eight runs in the third inning and seven more in the sixth.

The game’s most decisive stretch came in the bottom of the third inning. Le Moyne had taken a 3-2 lead into the frame, but Albany sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight times to seize a 10-3 advantage. The rally began with singles by Levi McAllister and a double from Mariano. After a pitching change, Brian Guerrero singled in two runs, then scored on a Perri single. Albany added four more runs on walks, wild pitches and a hit-by-pitch to Mariano that forced in a run. The inning ended with Jaxon Mueller reaching on a fielder’s choice, but the damage was done.

Le Moyne never recovered. Albany added three runs in the fifth inning on a Maggio single and a Mariano sacrifice fly, then blew the game open with a seven-run sixth. Perri, Vitucci and McAllister each delivered run-scoring hits, and Mariano capped the outburst with a three-run double to left-center. The Great Danes finished with 15 hits and drew 10 walks.

Le Moyne’s only runs came via a three-run first inning and a run in the second on Diaz’s RBI single. The Dolphins could not sustain any offense after the third inning, managing just three hits off Albany relievers Jameson Walsh and Ryan Pittz.

Albany improved to 15-28 with the victory, while Le Moyne fell to 18-24. Both teams open three-game road series Thursday, with Albany traveling to Maine and Le Moyne visiting Central Connecticut.
