Rain-Soaked Rivalry Set for Tuesday at Parsons Field

BROOKLINE, Mass. (Interstat) — A cold, wet evening awaits at Parsons Field on Tuesday when the Northeastern Huskies host the Boston College Eagles in a non-conference matchup.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. under a forecast of 35-degree temperatures and rain. The game will be a test of resilience for both squads.

Boston College (16-8) enters riding a five-game winning streak, including a three-game sweep of California last weekend. The Eagles needed 11 innings to secure a 3-2 victory Sunday, powered by strong pitching.

Northeastern (12-9) is coming off a 17-7 offensive explosion against Elon on Sunday, taking two of three in the series.

A key matchup will feature Boston College right-hander Brady Miller, a player to watch, against Northeastern’s hot-hitting shortstop Carmelo Musacchia.

Miller has been dominant in recent relief appearances. In his last four outings, spanning 15 innings, he has allowed just two earned runs and five hits while striking out 16. He earned the win Sunday with six scoreless innings and seven strikeouts against California.

Musacchia has driven Northeastern’s offense, collecting six RBIs in the last three games alone. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs in Sunday’s rout.

Interstat’s projections offer a split decision: its game simulator predicts a 8-7 Boston College victory, while its ELO rating system gives Northeastern a 60.6% probability to win.

The Huskies will look to continue their success at home, where they won their most recent series. The Eagles aim to extend their streak as they prepare for a weekend ACC series against Virginia.

Following Tuesday’s game, Boston College hosts Merrimack on Wednesday. Northeastern travels to face Massachusetts-Lowell.
