ATHENS, Ga. (Interstat) — Tyler Mudd pitched 7 1/3 no-hit innings and Carter Hendrickson and Jack Toomey each homered as Boston College defeated Long Island 8-4 on Saturday afternoon in a playoff game at Athens Olympic Indoor Hall. Mudd allowed no hits and four earned runs while striking out 10 over 7 1/3 innings. The Eagles right-hander faced just three batters over the minimum through seven innings before Long Island mounted a late rally.
