Bulls Overwhelm Jaguars in Doubleheader Opener

TAMPA, Fla. (Interstat) — Michael Senay allowed one run over five innings and the South Florida Bulls’ offense erupted early in a 15-1 rout of the Southern Jaguars in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at USF Baseball Stadium.

The 13th-ranked Bulls (13-3) scored in each of the first six innings, supported by four sacrifice flies. Jacob Green drove in four runs and Bradke Lohry added three RBIs. Senay struck out five and scattered three hits to earn the win.

Southern (3-11) managed just three hits, scoring its lone run on a third-inning sacrifice fly. The Jaguars used six pitchers, with Stephen Tolbert and Jayden Lawrence providing scoreless relief.

The victory followed South Florida’s 6-1 win over Southern on Friday. The teams met again in the second game of the twin bill Saturday.
