UNC Wilmington at North Carolina A&T

UNC Wilmington (27-20) at North Carolina A&T (12-36) Sunday, May 10, 2026 – Afternoon (Time TBD) Greensboro, N.C. – Colonial Athletic Association

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — UNC Wilmington seeks a weekend sweep Sunday when the Seahawks face North Carolina A&T in the finale of a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series.

The game will be played in the afternoon at War Memorial Stadium. The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-70s.

UNC Wilmington (27-20) has dominated the series, winning the first two games by scores of 18-2 on Friday and 10-7 on Saturday. The Seahawks are coming off a 10-7 victory in which right-hander Cooper Allen tossed 5 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing no hits while striking out eight. Allen, who has been erratic this season — he gave up five earned runs in 4 2/3 innings against College of Charleston on May 1, but threw eight shutout innings against Hofstra on April 18 — will be a key arm out of the bullpen or as a potential starter.

Third baseman Trevor Lucas went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in Saturday’s win, and right fielder Will Tyrrell was 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs.

North Carolina A&T (12-36) has lost six of its last seven games. The Aggies’ pitching has struggled, allowing 28 runs in the first two games of this series. Right-hander Gavin Sentell took the loss Saturday, allowing one earned run on three hits over four innings with three strikeouts. Sentell has been inconsistent — he gave up three earned runs in three innings against Campbell on May 2 and six earned runs in three innings against William & Mary on April 25.

Catcher Luis Gomez drove in two runs Saturday, and reliever Jacob Fields worked 1 2/3 innings, allowing one earned run.

The Interstat game simulator projects a 6-2 UNC Wilmington victory.

UNC Wilmington’s next game is Tuesday at home against North Carolina. The Seahawks then host Campbell for a three-game series starting Thursday.

North Carolina A&T travels to Monmouth for a three-game series beginning Thursday.

The game Sunday will be the final regular-season meeting between the two teams.
