BETHESDA, Md. (Interstat) — Oliver Pudvar pitched seven hitless innings and the Connecticut Huskies defeated the Georgetown Hoyas 3-2 Sunday afternoon at Shirley Povich Field, completing a three-game sweep in Big East play. Pudvar struck out three and did not allow a baserunner to reach via a hit, but two unearned runs crossed the plate behind him due to an error and a passed ball.
