Timblin Homers Twice as Wofford Routs Presbyterian in Midweek Matchup

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Interstat) — Ben Timblin homered twice and drove in three runs Tuesday to power the Wofford Terriers to an 11-2 victory over the Presbyterian Blue Hose at Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park.

Timblin hit a two-run shot in the first inning and a solo homer in the third, keying a 15-hit offensive outburst for Wofford (26-11). Brady Gold added three hits, including a homer, and three RBIs. Sheldon Egger earned the win, allowing one earned run over five innings.

Presbyterian (8-29) managed just six hits. A solo homer by A. Dewberry and a run on a passed ball accounted for its scoring. Wofford swept the season series after a March 17 win.
