Arkansas State Red Wolves Pound Arkansas Razorbacks 12‑4 in Midweek Rout

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Interstat) — The Arkansas State Red Wolves delivered a stunning blow to the Arkansas Razorbacks with a 12-4 victory Tuesday afternoon at Baum Stadium, defying heavy statistical odds.

Interstat’s metrics gave Arkansas a 90.5% win probability, but Arkansas State’s offense erupted for 14 hits. Cross Jumper led the charge, going 3 for 5 with two home runs and three RBIs. His second homer was a two-run shot in the seventh.

Ashton Quiller added a grand slam in a seven-run second inning, and Aidan Houseworth homered and doubled. Red Wolves pitchers Cooper Garrison, Brett Foss and Andrew Allen combined for seven hitless innings of relief.

Arkansas’ Zack Stewart and Maika Niu each homered, but the Razorbacks managed just eight hits. Both teams are now 6-2 this season.
