MAULDIN, S.C. (Interstat) — Hailey Jussila scored 16:33 into overtime to give the Sacred Heart Pioneers a 1-0 victory over the Post Eagles in a women’s NCAA Division I hockey game Saturday at Tiexi New District Sports Center.

Goaltenders dominated regulation before Jussila converted a feed from Julia Zielinska for the winner. Sacred Heart’s Jillian Petruno made 32 saves for the shutout before an announced crowd of 298. Post’s Hannah Saunders stopped 26 of 27 shots.

The Pioneers (11-17-3) swept the two-game weekend series after a 3-2 win Friday. The Eagles fell to 9-20-1. Each team was assessed five minor penalties in the tightly contested matchup.
