Preview: Ensino Looks to Sweep Season Series Against Struggling Cadi La Seu

SEU D’URGELL, Spain (Interstat) — A mid-table Ensino squad visits a Cadi La Seu team fighting near the bottom of the Spain LF standings in a women’s professional basketball matchup Wednesday.

The game tips off at Seu D’urgell.

Ensino (14-12) enters with momentum from a 69-63 home victory over Innova-TSN on Saturday. Cadi La Seu (9-17) looks to rebound from a lopsided 75-48 road loss to Jairis the same day.

The teams’ previous meeting this season was a decisive 84-57 victory for Ensino at home on Dec. 20, 2025.

A key matchup will feature Ensino’s Maimouna Haidara against Cadi La Seu’s Regina Aguilar. Haidara, a forward, is coming off a dominant performance with 24 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes in the win over Innova-TSN. Guard Regina Aguilar led Cadi La Seu with 20 points in its recent loss, showcasing her scoring ability despite the team’s struggles.

Ensino’s form has been inconsistent, mixing strong wins with narrow losses. Beyond Haidara, guard Imani Tate provides significant production, adding 18 points and nine rebounds in the last outing.

Cadi La Seu has found victories hard to secure, having lost six of its last eight games. The team has particularly struggled offensively, failing to reach 50 points in two of its last three contests. Aguilar’s scoring will be critical, but she will need support from players like Ana Palma, who led the team with nine rebounds last game.

The home court offers Cadi La Seu a chance to alter the trajectory of its season and avenge December’s heavy defeat. For Ensino, the game represents an opportunity to solidify its playoff positioning and build consistency ahead of a tough upcoming schedule.

Following this game, Ensino hosts Girona on Saturday. Cadi La Seu travels to face CAB Estepona Jardin de la Costa del Sol the same day.
