Emlak at Ormanspor

ANKARA (Interstat)—Emlak will look to get back above .500 when it visits Ormanspor on Saturday in a women’s professional basketball game.

Emlak enters 2-2 after a 75-61 home loss to Botas in its most recent game. Lindsay Allen scored 15 points to go with five rebounds and six assists in that defeat. Stephanie Mavunga added 13 points, nine rebounds, one assist and three blocks, while Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah had nine points, seven rebounds and one block.

Allen, the player to watch for Emlak, has been productive throughout the early season. She had 17 points, one rebound and eight assists in an 81-69 win at Uni Girona, 11 points, two rebounds and five assists in an 87-78 loss at Fenerbahce, and 18 points, three rebounds and five assists in a 91-68 win at Panathinaikos. In the loss to Botas, Allen played 34 minutes and finished with 15 points, five rebounds and six assists. Allen has reached double figures in scoring in each of Emlak’s four games.

Ormanspor is still seeking its first win of the season and sits at 0-2. The team’s most recent result was a 90-64 loss at CBK Mersin. Kristine Anigwe led Ormanspor with 16 points, 10 rebounds and one assist in that game. Shyla Heal scored 15 points and added three rebounds and one assist, while Sidney Cooks contributed 12 points, six rebounds and two assists. Anigwe has grabbed at least nine rebounds in both of Ormanspor’s games.

Anigwe, the player to watch for Ormanspor, also had 12 points, nine rebounds and two assists in a 76-71 home loss to Istanbul GSK. She has been a steady presence inside for Ormanspor, recording a double-double in the team’s most recent outing.

Emlak has scored at least 78 points in three of its four games. After opening with a win at Panathinaikos, it fell at Fenerbahce before rebounding with a victory at Uni Girona. The loss to Botas halted that momentum. Mavunga and Kunaiyi Akpanah have provided frontcourt support alongside Allen, giving Emlak multiple options.

Ormanspor will need Anigwe to control the paint and Heal and Cooks to provide scoring support. The home team has struggled defensively in its first two games, allowing 90 points to CBK Mersin and 76 to Istanbul GSK.

The game is part of a busy stretch for both clubs. Emlak is scheduled to host Lublin in its next game, while Ormanspor is set to visit Nesibe. Both teams will continue their league schedules later in the month. Emlak’s upcoming slate also includes Galatasaray and Bourges, while Ormanspor is set to face Kayseri and Besiktas.

The game simulator projects a final score of Emlak 84, Ormanspor 70.
