ROCKHAMPTON, Australia (Interstat) — Hayley McDowell White scored 41 points to lead Southern Districts to a 95-66 victory over Rockhampton on Friday night in NBL One women’s basketball. McDowell White also had four rebounds and seven assists. Southern Districts shot 46.2 percent from the floor and made 19 of 45 3-pointers. Jessica McDowell White posted a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists. Abby Solway contributed 18 points and seven rebounds. Southern Districts forced 17 turnovers and totaled 13 steals and seven blocks. Both teams were perfect from the free-throw line, Southern Districts making all four attempts and Rockhampton all nine. Rockhampton shot 34.2 percent from the field, including 7 of 36 from beyond the arc. Gracie Stugart led the hosts with 20 points and seven rebounds. Halle Shipton and Isla Shackleton each scored 12 points. Emily Kiser grabbed 11 rebounds for Rockhampton. Kalani Purcell added 10 rebounds and three blocks for Southern Districts. Southern Districts improved to 2-0 while Rockhampton fell to 0-2.
