MOUNT WAVERLEY, Australia (Interstat) — The Waverley women’s professional basketball team defeated Melbourne 75-55 in an Australia NBL One game Thursday. Hannah Giddey led Melbourne with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. Isabella Brancatisano added 15 points for Melbourne, which fell to 0-2 across all competitions. Waverley, which improved to 1-3, had a balanced effort. Sophia Locandro scored 14 points, while Tayla Dalton and Amelia Todhunter each added 11.
