Chabot vs Skyline
Preview: Skyline Seeks Season Sweep Against Struggling Chabot
SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The Skyline College women’s basketball team will look to solidify its winning record and complete a season sweep when it hosts the struggling Chabot College Gladiators in a California Community College Athletic Association matchup on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026.
The Skyline Trojans (17-10) enter the contest having dropped two of their last three games, including a 64-57 home loss to Mission on Tuesday. They will be heavily favored against a Chabot squad that has found victories scarce this season. The visiting Gladiators limp in with a 3-22 overall record and are riding a five-game losing streak, most recently a lopsided 82-53 defeat at San Francisco on Feb. 13.
When the teams met in Hayward just under a month ago on Jan. 23, Skyline secured a decisive 65-49 victory. A key performer in that win, and a player to watch Friday, is Skyline’s Nia Rogers. The guard has been a consistent offensive force, scoring in double figures in five consecutive games. She tallied 13 points, four rebounds and three assists in the January win over Chabot and is coming off a 15-point, six-rebound performance in a rout of Foothill on Feb. 11.
For Chabot, the challenge will be finding consistent offense and stopping Rogers’ production. The Gladiators have allowed an average of 73.4 points per game during their current five-game skid, a trend they must reverse to be competitive. Their last win came on Jan. 7 against Monterey Peninsula.
The matchup presents a stark contrast in trajectories. Skyline, despite recent stumbles, remains in the hunt for a winning conference campaign. Chabot is simply searching for any positive momentum as the season winds down. Tipoff is scheduled for Friday evening at Skyline College Gymnasium in San Bruno.
