ITHACA, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Princeton Tigers closed strong to defeat the Harvard Crimson 63-53 in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday at Ben Light Gymnasium. Princeton used a 20-point fourth quarter to pull away after leading 33-24 at halftime. Harvard, which scored only seven points in the opening quarter, could not recover from the early deficit. The Tigers finished their regular season with a 26-3 record, while the Crimson fell to 18-11. Princeton was projected as a strong favorite to win the Ivy League contest.
