Northern Colorado at DePaul

ROSEMONT, Ill. (Interstat) — The Northern Colorado Bears, riding high from a strong start, face a tough road test against the DePaul Blue Demons in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup Saturday at Allstate Arena.

Northern Colorado (4-1) arrives after a hard-fought 68-62 overtime victory over Campbell on Friday. Aniah Hall led the way with a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Bears’ only loss this season came in a narrow 56-53 defeat to Denver.

DePaul (2-3) is looking to build momentum after a dominant 75-39 win over Grambling on Friday, where Kate Novik scored a team-high 17 points. The Blue Demons have struggled against power conference opponents, with losses to Northwestern, Bradley and UNLV.

Despite the disparity in records, DePaul enters as a heavy favorite. According to Interstat’s ELO system, the Blue Demons are projected with an 84 percent probability to win.

The game is a final tune-up for both teams before challenging stretches. Northern Colorado travels to face Arizona on Tuesday, while DePaul hosts Loyola Chicago on Wednesday.
