Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Louisiana-Monroe
MONROE, La. (Interstat) — The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, one of the early surprises in women’s college basketball, will put their undefeated record on the line Sunday when they host the struggling Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Golden Lions.
The Warhawks (3-0) are off to their best start in recent seasons, coming off a 74-55 home victory over Grambling on Tuesday. J’Mani Ingram led the way with 16 points and six rebounds, while Marcavia Shavers added 12 points and seven boards. Louisiana-Monroe’s perfect start also includes wins over Louisiana Tech and Eastern Michigan.
They will face an Arkansas-Pine Bluff team (1-2) looking to rebound from a lopsided 78-44 home loss to Sam Houston on Wednesday. Despite the defeat, Jailah Pelly recorded a double-double for the Lady Golden Lions with 13 points and 10 rebounds. UAPB’s lone victory this season was a 69-64 road win at Memphis on Nov. 3.
The matchup pits Louisiana-Monroe’s potent offense against an Arkansas-Pine Bluff squad that has struggled to score, averaging just 54 points per game in its two losses. The Warhawks have averaged 74.6 points through their first three contests.
Following this game, Louisiana-Monroe hits the road for a matchup at Sam Houston, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff continues its difficult non-conference slate at Louisiana Tech. Tip-off is set for Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
