Le Moyne at Baylor

WACO, Texas (Interstat) — The Baylor Lady Bears delivered a dominant performance from the opening tip, overwhelming the visiting Le Moyne Dolphins in a 99-43 women’s college basketball victory Sunday at the Ferrell Center.

Baylor’s offense was relentless, establishing control with a 26-point first quarter and never looking back. The Lady Bears extended their lead to 50-19 by halftime and put the game completely out of reach with a 31-point third quarter before an announced crowd of 3,360.

The statistical sheet illustrated Baylor’s comprehensive dominance. The Lady Bears shot 56 percent from the field while holding Le Moyne to just 30 percent shooting. Baylor’s defense was equally stifling, forcing 23 Dolphins turnovers and converting them into 31 points. The Lady Bears also owned the interior, outscoring Le Moyne 50-14 in the paint.

Darianna Littlepage-Buggs led the charge for Baylor with a commanding double-double, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Taliah Scott orchestrated the offense with 22 points and 9 assists, while Bella Fontleroy provided a significant spark with 21 points, including three shots from beyond the arc.

Le Moyne, which fell to 1-2 on the season, struggled to find any consistent offensive rhythm against Baylor’s pressure. Jessica Wangolo led the Dolphins with 8 points, while Peyton Dincher came off the bench to contribute 11 points. The Dolphins managed only four assists as a team against the swarming Baylor defense.

With the win, Baylor remains undefeated, improving its record to 4-0. The Lady Bears will now prepare for a high-profile neutral-site contest against Iowa on Thursday in Orlando, Florida. Le Moyne looks to rebound when it returns home to host Cornell on Saturday.
