ALBANY, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Albany women’s basketball team secured a decisive 65-41 victory over Dartmouth on Monday night at SEFCU Arena. The Great Danes took control early, building a 34-21 halftime lead and never looked back.

Amaya Stewart led Albany with 21 points. Olivia Austin scored 16 points for the Big Green, which struggled offensively, shooting just 35% from the floor and committing 16 turnovers. Albany’s defense was stifling, recording 12 steals and forcing those miscues while also distributing 12 assists on 27 made field goals.

The win improves Albany’s record to 2-1, while Dartmouth falls to 1-1. An announced crowd of 1,207 attended the game.
