South Dakota at Idaho State
POCATELLO, Idaho (Interstat) — Two undefeated teams will clash Sunday when the South Dakota Coyotes visit the Idaho State Bengals in a non-conference women’s basketball game at Holt Arena.
The Coyotes (4-0) are coming off their most impressive win of the young season, a 72-71 road victory over Kansas State on Thursday. South Dakota has dominated its other three opponents, winning each by at least 25 points. Key contributors in the tight win included Tori Schlagel, who scored 15 points, and Jenna Hopp, who added 11 points and six rebounds.
Idaho State (3-0) also brings momentum into the matchup, having defeated UC Irvine 61-49 at home on Wednesday. The Bengals’ defense has been stout, holding their last two opponents under 50 points. In their last outing, Piper Carlson and Tasia Jordan each scored in double figures, while Kacey Spink nearly recorded a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds.
The game features a contrast in early-season schedules. While both teams are unbeaten, South Dakota’s resume includes a Power 5 road victory, whereas Idaho State has yet to face a high-major opponent.
Sunday’s contest is the first of a two-game road trip for the Coyotes, who will host Valparaiso next Friday. Following this game, Idaho State embarks on a lengthy road trip, traveling to Hawaii for games against Portland and Loyola Marymount.
Tipoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025.
