Air Force at South Dakota
VERMILLION, S.D. (Interstat) — Two teams coming off dominant season-opening victories, the Air Force Falcons and South Dakota Coyotes, will meet in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday at the DakotaDome.
Both squads enter with 1-0 records. Air Force opened its season with a 59-50 road win at Denver on Monday. Jayda McNabb led the Falcons with nine rebounds and five assists, while Madelyn Jensen scored a team-high 13 points.
South Dakota’s start was far more explosive, as the Coyotes routed York 104-33. In that contest, Katy Reyerson and Elise Turrubiates each poured in 16 points to pace a high-scoring offense.
The matchup pits Air Force’s defensive grit against South Dakota’s offensive firepower. The Falcons will look to control the tempo after holding Denver to 50 points, while the Coyotes aim to maintain the prolific scoring they displayed in their opener.
Following this game, Air Force travels to face Oregon State on Monday. South Dakota remains at home to host Buena Vista the same afternoon.
