ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Interstat) — Duquesne defeated Navy 69-67 in overtime in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Sunday at Alumni Hall. The Dukes improved to 6-2 overall, while the Midshipmen fell to 5-2. Navy mounted a strong second-half comeback, outscoring Duquesne 25-16 in the third quarter to erase a halftime deficit, but was held to just four points in the fourth quarter to force the extra period. Julianna Almeida led Navy with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Christina Liggio added 12 points for the Midshipmen. Duquesne’s balanced scoring and a crucial overtime performance secured the narrow road victory.
