JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Jacksonville Dolphins (2-1) look to build on a signature road victory when they host the Florida International Golden Panthers (1-2) in a non-conference women’s basketball game Saturday at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Jacksonville is coming off a 69-64 upset win at Georgia Tech last Sunday. Guard Priscilla Williams led the way with a dominant 29-point, 10-rebound double-double. The Dolphins’ other win was an 86-84 overtime victory against Charleston Southern, though they were routed 100-55 by Florida.

Florida International seeks to rebound from a 79-61 loss at UCF this past Tuesday. Parris Atkins scored 20 points in that contest for the Golden Panthers, who opened their season with an 81-68 win over Bethune-Cookman before falling to South Florida.

The matchup pits Jacksonville’s momentum against a Florida International team searching for consistency on the road. The Dolphins’ next game is Tuesday against Ga. Southwestern, while the Golden Panthers host Maryland-Baltimore County on Nov. 28.
