Utah at Utah State

LOGAN, Utah (Interstat) — The Utah Utes, coming off a dominant season-opening win, will travel to face in-state foe Utah State on Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Utah (1-0) opened its season with an 88-62 victory over Sioux Falls on Monday. Evelina Otto led the way with 15 points in 18 minutes, while Reese Ross and Brooke Walker combined for 17 points and seven assists. The Utes’ offense appeared in sync, providing a strong start to their campaign.

The Aggies (0-0) will be playing their first game of the 2025-26 season. Their most recent contest was a 66-59 loss to Air Force on March 9, 2025, to conclude their previous season. Friday’s matchup marks the official start of a new chapter for the home team.

The intrastate rivalry adds a layer of intensity to the early non-conference schedule for both programs. The Utes will look to build on their early momentum before hosting Utah Valley on Nov. 11. The Aggies, seeking a positive start, will hit the road for their next game at Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 11.

Tipoff is set for Friday, Nov. 7, in Nibley.
