BUFFALO, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Sacred Heart Pioneers led wire-to-wire in a 76-55 victory over the Canisius Golden Griffins in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Koessler Athletic Center.

Sacred Heart established control early with 23 first-quarter points and maintained a double-digit advantage throughout the second half. The Pioneers improved to 9-10 overall. Shariah Gailes and Yasmine Djibril each scored 14 points for Canisius, which fell to 3-15. Franka Wittenberg added 10 points for the Golden Griffins. Attendance was 425.
