(Interstat) — The Fairfield women’s basketball team cruised to an 81-51 victory over Niagara in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Gallagher Center. The Stags improved to 16-3 overall, while the Purple Eagles remained winless at 0-18.

Fairfield seized control with a decisive second quarter, outscoring Niagara 26-3 to build an insurmountable 41-17 halftime lead. Kaety L’Amoreaux led all scorers with 26 points and added seven assists for the Stags. Meghan Andersen contributed 14 points. Niagara was led by Tyasia Freeman with 12 points and Talia Dial with 13. An announced crowd of 210 saw the game.
