TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — Mady Cartwright scored 31 points to lead Tulsa to a 94-82 victory over Temple in a women’s basketball game Friday night at Donald Reynolds Center.

The Golden Hurricane (11-4, 2-0 American Athletic) built a 53-37 halftime lead behind a strong first half. The Owls (7-8, 1-1) rallied after halftime, cutting the deficit to six points in the third quarter, but could not complete the comeback.

Cartwright added two assists for Tulsa. Kaylah Turner led Temple with 31 points, and Drew Alexander added 27. Hannah Riddick contributed 22 points and four assists for the Golden Hurricane, who shot 50% from the field in front of 1,128 fans.
