SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — San Francisco survived a furious fourth-quarter rally by Portland to secure a 67-64 victory in a West Coast Conference women’s basketball game Tuesday at War Memorial Gymnasium.

The Dons, led by a 28-point third quarter, built a commanding lead before the Pilots answered with 28 points of their own in the final period. Portland’s comeback attempt fell just short as San Francisco held on for the home win.

The victory improved San Francisco’s record to 8-5. Portland dropped to 7-7. Attendance was 267.
