Temple at Villanova
BRYN MAWR, Pa. (Interstat) — A pair of local rivals with identical records will meet Saturday when the Temple women’s basketball team faces Villanova at The Pavilion.
Both the Owls (3-2) and Wildcats (3-2) are looking to build momentum from their most recent outings, though they are coming off contrasting results.
Temple aims to rebound from a 72-57 road loss to Richmond on Tuesday. Kaylah Turner led the Owls with 22 points in the defeat. Temple’s season has been marked by strong home performances, including a 75-54 win over La Salle, but road struggles, with losses at Richmond and West Virginia.
Villanova enters on a high note after an 84-73 victory at James Madison on Sunday. The Wildcats’ offense was fueled by Brynn McCurry’s 18 points and seven assists, along with 17 points from Jasmine Bascoe. Like Temple, Villanova has been perfect at home this season, with decisive wins over Virginia Commonwealth and Lafayette.
The intrastate matchup tips off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. Following this game, Villanova will prepare for a road game at La Salle on Tuesday, while Temple’s next contest is against Michigan State in The Bahamas on Nov. 28.
