South Alabama at UAB
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Interstat) — The UAB women’s basketball team will look to rebound from a season-opening loss when it hosts in-state foe South Alabama on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Bartow Arena.
The Blazers (0-1) are coming off a surprising 62-59 home defeat to West Alabama on Monday. Eleecia Carter and Molly Moffitt each scored 12 points in the loss.
They will face a South Alabama squad that opened its season with an emphatic 87-63 victory over Akron. Cordasia Harris recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Daniela Gonzalez added 12 points.
The Jaguars (1-0) will rely on their interior presence after outrebounding Akron, with Harris and Diawna Carter-Hartley combining for 23 boards. UAB will counter, seeking its first win before embarking on a four-game road trip.
Tipoff is set for Saturday at Bartow Arena. The game marks the first of a challenging early-season stretch for the Blazers.
