DENTON, Texas (Interstat) — Andi Schissler scored 22 points to lead North Texas to an 87-63 women’s basketball victory over Texas-San Antonio on Tuesday night at North Texas Coliseum.

The Mean Green seized control with a dominant first half, leading 48-27 at halftime. The Roadrunners never recovered from the early deficit. Schissler, a 5-foot-6 guard from Kersey, Colorado, hit four 3-pointers for North Texas, which improved to 16-10 overall and in American Athletic Conference play.

Ereauna Hardaway led UTSA with 19 points. Cheyenne Rowe added 12 points and four blocks. The Roadrunners fell to 12-14.

An announced crowd of 1,810 watched the game. North Texas shot 50% from the field while holding UTSA to 38% shooting.
