PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — Divine Dibula scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Monmouth edged Drexel 62-60 in a double-overtime women’s basketball game Sunday at Daskalakis Athletic Center.

The Hawks avenged a loss to the Dragons from nine days prior in a defensive struggle witnessed by 509 fans. Monmouth trailed by five entering the fourth quarter but forced overtime. Both teams scored 10 points in the first extra period.

Dibula’s dominant double-double led Monmouth, which improved to 16-7. Drexel’s Laine McGurk scored a game-high 25 points in the loss, dropping the Dragons to 14-8. Amaris Baker added 22 points for Drexel in 48 minutes. Interstat’s ELO system had projected Drexel with a 73.10 percent probability to win.
