North Carolina State at Boston College

NEWTON, Mass. (Interstat) — A surging North Carolina State squad will look to capitalize on a favorable stretch of its schedule when the 14-6 Wolfpack visit struggling Boston College on Thursday night in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball matchup.

The game at Silvio O. Conte Forum pits teams at opposite ends of the ACC spectrum. N.C. State, coming off a 78-76 overtime win at Virginia on Saturday, has won five of its last seven games. Boston College has lost 10 consecutive games since a Dec. 7 victory over Bryant, sinking to 4-18 overall.

Wolfpack guard Zoe Brooks enters on a torrid scoring run, headlined by a career-high 37-point performance in the win at Virginia. Over her last seven games, the sophomore is averaging 19.3 points and 4.7 assists, providing the offensive firepower for a team finding its rhythm in conference play.

The Eagles, mired in a season-long slump, will lean on forward Amirah Anderson. She led the team with 16 points and five rebounds in its most recent outing, an 85-56 loss at Louisville. Consistency has been an issue, however, as Anderson’s scoring has fluctuated significantly during the losing streak.

N.C. State’s recent success has been bolstered by strong contributions beyond Brooks. Khamil Pierre posted a double-double (15 points, 12 rebounds) against Virginia, and Zamareya Jones added 14 points. The Wolfpack’s offensive balance will be a major challenge for a Boston College defense allowing an average of 76.3 points during its 10-game skid.

History and momentum heavily favor the visitors. The Eagles’ last win over a conference opponent was March 1, 2025. Their defense will face a severe test against an N.C. State offense that has scored 78 or more points in four of its last five victories.

For Boston College, the matchup represents another daunting opportunity to halt its slide in a season of few bright spots. For N.C. State, it is a critical chance to bolster its record before a pivotal February stretch that includes games against North Carolina, Duke and Notre Dame.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST.
