TOLEDO, Ohio (Interstat) — Patricia Anumgba scored 24 points to lead Toledo to a 70-49 victory over Northern Illinois in a Mid-American Conference women’s basketball game Wednesday night at Savage Hall.

The Rockets improved to 8-7 overall, while the Huskies fell to 3-13.

Toledo never trailed, building a 35-22 halftime lead and maintaining a double-digit advantage throughout the second half. Anumgba, a guard from Silver Spring, Maryland, led all scorers in 29 minutes of play. Faith Fedd-Robinson added 11 points for the Rockets.

Nevaeh Wingate scored 15 points to pace Northern Illinois, which was held to just seven points in the third quarter. A crowd of 3,471 watched the game.
