AUBURN, Ala. (Interstat) — The unbeaten Auburn Tigers will put their perfect record on the line Thursday when they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup at Auburn Arena.

Auburn (5-0) is coming off a 69-65 home victory over Georgia State on Monday. Harissoum Coulibaly led the Tigers with 19 points, while Kaitlyn Duhon added 13 points and eight rebounds. The Tigers’ start is their best since the 2018-19 season.

Rutgers (4-1) arrives after a 59-49 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. Zachara Perkins paced the Scarlet Knights with 17 points and nine rebounds in that contest. Rutgers’ only loss this season was a 71-54 defeat against Stony Brook on Nov. 9.

The game pits Auburn’s unblemished record against a Rutgers team looking to secure a statement road victory. The Scarlet Knights will rely on the interior presence of Perkins and Imani Lester, while Auburn counters with a balanced attack led by Coulibaly and Duhon.

Following this game, Auburn will travel to Frisco, Texas, to face Texas-San Antonio on Nov. 24. Rutgers will return home to host Siena on Nov. 24.
